Insert Bearings Spherical OD

Thrust spherical plain bearings are available with sliding contact surface combination steel/PTFE FRP which are suitable for single direction axial loads or combined axial and radial loads.They have low coefficient of friction and are relatively insensitive to contaminants. Ball Bearing Inserts. Constructed of high quality 52100 steel, ball bearing inserts are used inside pillow block and flange housings or in custom housed applications. They are most commonly produced with a spherical OD to allow for misalignment, but are also available with a cylindrical OD.

Mounted Bearings and Inserts.Mounted bearings, sometimes called bearing units or bearing blocks, have a bearing installed in a housing to ease installation and provide additional support for the bearing. Insert bearings (SKF Y-bearings) are based on sealed deep groove ball bearings in the 62 and 63 series, but have a convex outer ring and in most cases an extended inner ring with a specific locking device, enabling quick and easy mounting onto the shaft.
